All of them were well over a thousand dollars just to rent a truck so I was getting ready to hand over the cash when I saw U-Haul is actually selling their off-rental box trucks. I was able to get a 17' box truck from U-Haul for around $3000 and it worked out great! I made the move with no problems and was able to turn around and sell the vehicle when I got to my destination and even ended up with a little profit from the sale. If you have a long one-way move, you should investigate buying one instead of renting. U-Haul has a website with their box trucks for sale that is a good place to start, uhaul.com/trucksales.
