Six to eight weeks before moving day:
Work with the moving company
set date so that the mover’s agent examines your house visually and for an evaluation prepares.
• If your company pays for your move, ask them to their moving policy in order to determine the services which the moving company will be authorized and able to provide.
• Do you want to make the packing yourself? , or do you prefer the mover to pack for you ? would you rather it done by experienced packers? (highly recommended in most cases unless you are a former movers or have good hands) Your mover will be happy to discuss the packing services with you.
• In the visual inspection help, show the mover all items which will be moved.
All articles which you do not reveal or that are added later on to the move will increase the cost, even if you were given an binding quote.
• Read the “Your rights and responsibilities Manual” to ensure that you entirely include and understand the responsibilities of the carrier. And the responsibilities of you.
• Sign the estimate / order for the service after you are sure that you have a clear understanding of each section. If you have any questions, ask your movers explain.
• Keep the phone number and the name of your salesman , mover and the coordinator handy.
Four to six weeks before Moving day:

• Prepare a list of friends, parents, companies and businesses and of all others which should be advised of your move.
The following checklist will be useful:

• Give the unwanted goods and clothing or domestic equipment at the charitable organizations. Obtain the receipts showing the items , approximate value for possible tax deductions.
• Start to exhaust supplies goods out of box, deep-frozen foods and of other articles of household. Buy only what will be employed before displacement.
Two to three weeks before Moving day:
Again Work with your mover …
• Inform your mover if you add or withdraw articles of your move or if there are changes of the dates. Be sure to provide your mover addresses of destination and the phone numbers where you can be reached!!!
• Confirm all the necessary additional stops to take or deliver goods to a place other than the principal points of pick up and/or delivery.
• If your car is moved, be prepared to lead it to a suitable site of loading / pick up. Also be prepared to take your car at a suitable place at the destination.
Preparation of the family:
• Have Family Gathering.
• Take the family for a good-bye visit of with some of the places which carry happy memories.
• Have an active-far a part for the children and their friends.
• Have recreation for yourself… an open house or a dinner or a BBQ without ceremony..
• Made travel plans for your family. Reserve the rooms at the hotel and the tickets the plane if necessary.
• If leading, have your car maintained for trip (tires of control, brakes and windscreen wiper, fluids, belts, etc)
Preparation the articles household:
• The federal law requires that you have flammables such as arms, of the liquids of cleaning, the matches, the acids, the whole of chemistry, the cansof aerosol, of the ammunition, and the poisons such as the bleaches on grass.
Evacuate the fuel your lawn mower and of other machines.
Throw the oil cans partly used, painting, thinner, agent bleaching, or all the other substances which can be flammable or combustible or those stored in containers which can run.

• Empty the propane tanks which are used for grills of barbecue.
• Fix a date to have utilities disconnected. If possible, envisage to maintain utilities in the service by the mobile day.
• Have the cleaned covers and the curtains. Leave both wrapped when they are turned over pickling solutions.
• Obtain an evaluation written of the ancient articles to check the value. Avoid waxing or oiling antiquities of wood (and the fine pieces of furniture out of wooden) before displacement because some products could soften wood, making them vulnerable to the impression starting from the trimmings of pieces of wooden furniture.
• Do not clean your pieces of furniture papered before displacement. the moisture could cause the mold so pieces of furniture must be placed in storage. Ask your agent a copy of our “is there are antiquities in your move… booklet.
• MOVING DAY ! = RELAX ! = don’t worry be happy
• RELAX !
